Demo 09 – Track the Event on Twitter

As you all may (or may not) know justSignal creates creates solutions that allow you to track specific contexts (subjects, events or topics) on Social Media. Our current widget is focused on Twitter (and why not), with FriendFeed, Google Blog Search and Blog Comments (via Backtype and Disqus) coming after SXSW.

With Demo coming up next week we thought you might want a way to track all the action and engage in conversation with other people attending or just interested.

We won’t be presenting… but we will be serving up this justSignal Tracker… How is that for a demo?

NOTE: All justSignal Trackers come with an iPhone optimized Web Application. Go ahead and point your iPhone/iPod touch at http://justsignal.com/demo09 to view the use the Tracker on your iPhone.

You can bookmark this page (or see the link at the top of this blog page) to return to the Demo 09 justSignal Tracker at any time.

If you’d like to embed the widget in your own page leave a comment below. I’d be happy to provide you the details.

    1. You’d be amazed at the variety of – lets call them “methods” – people used. The parsing for this will have to get much better/more refined as it is developed because people can (and do) type ANYTHING 🙂

      thanks!

  1. Hi Brian,

This is a very interesting analysis. I’ve often wondered what kind of result are achieved through the #followfriday postings. The next level after this analysis would be to determine how many tweeple get followers as a result of followfriday tweets.

Thanks for the work you did.

    1. I completely agree. I almost didn’t do this because once this is visible there will be those who spend all their time trying to game the system… If this is real and organic it is very, very valuable.

  2. If #followfriday was anything less then a spectacle of recommendations, then I don’t think I would find as many great people on Twitter. I have personally thanked many people for their great recommendations, and may many more Twitters get onto this list for me to follow and discover more about them!

  3. Thanks for this great research, Brian. I like #followfriday and try to use it to highlight recommendations for one to three of my favs at a time. That would account for my high number of tweets on the tag. I’m always thinking it would be more valuable as a rec tool if more were giving reasons, not just lists.
